Star and New Straits Times highlighted the tragic drowning deaths of a teacher and two student during a dragon boat training exercise. The mishap occurred when their boat capsized in the waters off Macallum Street, Penang, yesterday morning. Three other students are still missing.

Malay newspapers

Berita Harian and Utusan Malaysia also headlined the boating tragedy and featured prominently the Saudi King's top award to Najib Abdul Razak during his four-day official visit.

Tamil newspapers

All three newspapers Tamil Nesan , Malaysia Nanban and Makkal Osai gave prominence to Malaysia Makkal Sakti party president RS Thanenthiran's sacking from the party.

Chinese newspapers

Sin Chew Daily , Nanyang Siang Pau and China Press headlined the dragon boat tragedy which claimed the lives of three people. The search is on for three students still missing from the mishap.
