Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris has summoned Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad to his palace this morning to discuss a number of issues.

The PAS parliamentarian, who was seen entering the Istana Bukit Kayangan at 11.15am, said that the meeting between the duo included the controversy involving the use of 'Allah' by non-Muslims.

NONE On Monday, 16 police reports were filed against Khalid ( right ) after he accused state Islamic bodies Jais and Mais of being involved in the demonstration held at the Shah Alam mosque two weeks ago over the High Court’s 'Allah' ruling.

 

Following this, Khalid was criticised for disrespecting the sultan since the two bodies fall under royal jurisdiction.

Khalid however said that much of the meeting revolved around the issue on development plans in Shah Alam.

The PAS leader told Malaysiakini he had submitted a letter two months ago to seek an audience with the sultan to obtain his vision and wisdom over the state capital's development.

Khalid said the sultan gave him some advice relating to the 'Allah' controversy.

“I’m taking it in good faith,” he said.

Asked whether issues revolving around the usage of the word 'Allah' were brought up, Khalid said the Sultan only advised him.

"I had listened to everything that was said carefully," he added.
