A contractor has lodged a police report claiming that a PAS state assemblyman had threatened to physically harm him.
Wan Din Wan Mamat, 49, lodged the report at the Tumpat district police station yesterday.
He claimed that Kelaboran assemblyman Mohd Zaki Ibrahim called him on his handphone while he was travelling in a car from Tumpat to Pasir Pekan at 1pm yesterday threatening, among others, to use his followers to assault him.
He told Bernama today that the threats were made following his response to the assemblyman's challenge questioning his procurement of a cleaning contract for the Pengkalan Kubur duty-free zone.
A Tumpat district police spokesman confirmed the report.
