Dr Wan Azizah Ismail is among the alibi witnesses listed in her husband Anwar Ibrahim's sodomy case, police said today.

Kuala Lumpur CID chief Ku Chin Wah said in a statement here that Dr Wan Azizah's name was the first name among 13 in the alibi notice submitted by legal firm SN Nair and Partners.

He was referring to a media report that R Sivarasa, who is one of Anwar's counsel, could not recall that Wan Azizah's name had been submitted as an alibi witness in the case.

Dr Wan Azizah was called by police to make a statement three days ago.

Anwar, 63, is charged with sodomising his former aide, Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, 24, at a condominium in Bukit Damansara here on June 26, 2008.
