Moderate quake detected in southern sumatera

A moderate earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale was detected in southern Sumatera, 195km northeast of Bengkulu, Indonesia and 599km southwest of Johor Bahru at 3.02pm today.
A moderate earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale was detected in southern Sumatera, 195km northeast of Bengkulu, Indonesia and 599km southwest of Johor Bahru at 3.02pm today.
However, the Malaysian Meteorological Department said in a statement that the earthquake did not pose any tsunami threat.
