Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department T Murugiah said he will accept the High Court decision on his application to enforce a decision by the Malaysian Arbitral Tribunal Establishment (Mate).

NONE The tribunal had decided that Murugiah was the rightful president of the People's Progressive Party (PPP).

The High Court will hear Murugiah's application on March 1.

"Should I lose the case, I will leave PPP with 210,000 members nationwide and will find a new platform," he told reporters after a meting with his supporters in Ipoh last night.

PPP president M Kayveas and Murugiah had been locked in a leadership tussle since May last year.

Murugiah was 'elected' president at an extrordinary general meeting (EGM) but the Registrar of Societies (ROS) later decided that Kayveas was the rightful president.

He hoped that Kayveas would also accept the High Court decision and would not create trouble if the decision did not favour him.

The deputy minister urged those who attacked him via SMS messages to stop as it was immoral and unethical.
