An insurance company manager has claimed that his home was gutted by arsonist this morning to silence him from exposing secrets of a religious sect, of which he was formerly a member.

Met this morning, R Sitrarasu, 42, claims that the fire at his double-storey home in Taman Sri Sentosa, Selangor was caused by a petrol bomb hurled at his car at about 4am.

NONE "I believe the arson attack was a death threat," said Sitrarasu ( left, in blue ) , a father of five.

In his police report, he claims that the arson was orchestrated by an individual who runs a yoga and meditation group.

He was a member of the group for 14 years but left in September last year because he claims the group's leader was cheating his followers and making ludicrous claims of supernatural powers.

Sitrarasu believes that the arson were related to an incident on Dec 24 last year where red paint was splashed on his porch along with several death threats he has already received by phone.

He said these acts were an attempt to threaten him from exposing the sect leader.

"He will lose his assets if the truth about him is revealed. It is now my responsibility to reveal his true identity," he added.
