Oil royalty: 'Umno is afraid of a better Kelantan'
'Umno is cheating Kelantan of its rightful payments, just as they did when PAS controlled Terengganu. What Umno is afraid of is PAS utilising the royalty payments for the betterment of Kelantan.'
Umno leader calls for action against Ku Li
Cala: Ku Li (Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah) is a Kelantanese. He aspires to be a statesman, too. As a statesman, he looks at issues beyond the confine of the party of affiliation. If oil royalty brings prosperity to the state of Kelantan, surely no one can fault him fighting for the state.
At the end of the day, whether Kelantan deserves its portion of oil royalty goes back to the contract and the interpretation therein. White is white. White is not black. One can not make black to turn to white.
Oochom: Thank you very much Mohd Puad Zarkashi. You talk as though you are Umno president. Do you know how panicky the president (Najib Abdul Razak) is when Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah (Ku Li) talks? Ku Li talks facts and doesn't lie like you.
You may be a party man but Ku Li is the truthful one.
Avatar: When Ku Li speaks up, action is to be taken against him. But what about when Dr Mahathir Mohamad went on a relentless attack of his predecessor Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and making all sorts of accusations? Why didn't anyone in Umno have any guts to call for action against Mahathir?
To me, what Ku Li is saying is the truth and about the law. Umno is cheating Kelantan of its rightful payments, just as they did when PAS controlled Terengganu. When Terengganu fell back to BN, all is well and the royalty payments continued.
What Umno is afraid of is PAS utilising the royalty payments for the betterment of Kelantan.
Kama Mustaffa: Puad Zarkashi want some attention too. He sees this as an opportunity to make himself heard. Umno, don't you realise that the majority of Kelantanese are Malay? So why are you seeking their destruction? Because they support PAS?
Ahmad Iqhbal: Indeed it is most unbecoming of a BN parliamentarian to fight for the rights of the rakyat. Better punish him by kicking him out of BN so he can join PKR.
Keturunan Malaysia: Mohd Puad, I know Ku Li and his brothers personally. You are way out of his league in terms of reputation, credibility and wisdom. While he was in the cabinet, he was a Malaysian, a Kelantanese and a cabinet minister, in an order that very few cabinet ministers ever get it right.
Your deputy president grudgingly admitted that as Ku Li is more senior than him, he should not be advising Ku Li. Of course, the same cannot be said about you, Mohd Puad.
Victor Johan: Can Bernama dig further? Or better still, can Mohd Puad explain how he came to the finding or the understanding that Ku Li's stand on the issue has been inconsistent and different? We don't need the BN government and its representatives to give just hollow statements.
Bernama , please obtain and disseminate factual reports. Anyway, come general election number 13 and after, we won't get any more of these gutter political statements.
Charles Chia: Please tell Puad Zarkashi, whether Umnos take action or not against Razaleigh he is already a hero in the eyes of those who do not agree with Umno. We would not hesitate to vote Razaleigh for prime minister.
K'tan assembly members to table motion on oil royalty
Gk: The agreements signed are between Petronas and the respective state governments, which in this case is the Kelantan government. Petronas, being a reputable corporation, should honour its commitment in the agreement and pay the five percent cash payment to Kelantan.
Whatever objections the federal government should not be an obstruction for Petronas to honour its commitment. The federal government is not a party to the contract. Petronas, just do what you should do.
Magnus: Hats off to you, (Kelantan exco) Husam Musa. You are right to decline the unacceptable, insulting and demeaning charitable scrap from the federal government and the committee on the ‘wang ehsan'.
Get every sen that the people of Kelantan are owed legally from this unaccountable Umno/BN government and from Petronas which has contractual duty to make the five percent payment to the Kelantan state government.
I am sure there are many excellent caring legal and accounting minds in the world who will be willing to assist you on this legal suit.
Habib RAK: I hope the state assembly would also pass a resolution to label all state assembly members and members of parliament from Kelantan who do not support the royalty payment to Kelantan as traitors to the state. Just for the own political gain, they are willing to sell their own state. They are like the traitors who worked hand-in-hand with the Japanese occupation.
Ahmad Iqhbal: Ku Li and Husam are really full-blooded Kelantanese. Over to you, Pasir Mas MP Ibrahim Ali. Where do you stand? Someone monitor this creep Ibrahim. Make sure he doesn't go for ‘umrah' pilgrimage when the state assembly sits. This is the time to prove to the Kelantanese your loyalty to them.
