PAS plans to contest in nine parliamentary seats and 15 state seats in Sabah in the next general election, state PAS commissioner Muhamad Abdullah said.

He said the unanimous decision was reached at the Sabah PAS meeting in Keningau recently.

He said among the state seats to be contested were Merotai, Sukau, Karambunai, Tanjong Aru, Pantai Manis, Gum-Gum, Sekong, Tanjong Batu and Balung.

"For parliamentary seats, they include Kalabakan, Batu Sapi and Kota Belud.

"This is, however, just our plan because the final decision will be made by the party leadership," he told Bernama today.

Muhamad said Sabah PAS was fully prepared to face any possibilities, including a snap election.

He said Sabah PAS had also identified potential candidates for the election.
