The Information, Communication and Culture Ministry will conduct a survey this October to gauge the success of Prime Minister Najib Razak's 1Malaysia concept.

Its secretary-general, Kamaruddin Siarat said, as the pioneer of 1Malaysia programmes, the ministry needed to play a role in ensuring the concept reached its target.

As such, he said he hoped the ministry's staff, especially those under the Broadcasting Department, would join forces to disseminate the 1Malaysia concept.

“This is a big task for us as it will determine the ministry's Key Performance Indicator (KPI) achievements,” he told reporters after handing over appointment letters to Support Group 1 staff in the Sabah and Sarawak Broadcasting Department, at the Dewan Serbaguna Arkib, in Kota Kinabalu today.

Kamaruddin also urged the staff of the Broadcasting Department nationwide to show commitment in explaining and clarifying the 1Malaysia concept to the public.
