PKR boots out Kulim Bandar Baru MP Zulkifli

Multi Racial: Congratulation to PKR for finally coming to its senses. Pakatan made inroads into the electorate in the last general election because of its multiracial stand. They have to continue that way, as this is what Malaysians want.

Let BN, especially Umno, MCA and MIC embrace all the racists they like. Malaysians will get rid of them in the next elections. We have had enough of their nonsense. Such people are a nuisance to the country and we are better off without them.

Kgen: Kudos to PKR. A right and courageous move for the better good of the party. Yes, it's painful to lose another member of parliament in light of three defections, but the festering sore has to be excised or it will infect and kill the whole body. The loss of one more MP is nothing compared to the goodwill to be gained from the electorate.

I'm sure Zulkifli was thinking the party would not want to lose another MP. He even had the gall to threaten the party.

Semi Value: PKR leaders have acted without fear or favour. It clearly show that PKR is ready to lose all its Umno-friendly MPs before the next general election, since they are only a liability to the party when they are retained.

Kama Mustaffa: Zulkifli acted on emotions not with his brains. He is capable of thinking rationally, but he didn't. Indeed, his sacking was justifiable, although regretted.

Black Mamba: PKR has got guts and has come into its senses. The true maturity of a young party. Have no fear, there will be more and better candidates they can choose from, as many know PKR will sweep a lot more seats in the next election. We do not have any other alternative party that can take on Umno and its BN component parties.

Azmil Tayeb: PKR's supreme council have acted with fairness and firmness with Zulklifi. If not sacked, Zulkifli can be very costly to PKR. He has the tendency to utter racist remarks and could be an obstacle to the growth and strength of PKR and its partner parties.

PKR now must start the hunt for good and professionally qualified candidates for the coming general elections.

Phra Ong Chao: This certainly shows that PKR is willing to stick to its principles despite having to lose an MP even in the midst of MPs walking out. It refuses to allow extremists to hold the party to ransom.

Let it be known that as a voter, I truly appreciate PKR's courage to stand up for the good of the people. Plainly put, PKR definitely has more guts than Umno ever will.

Tell Te Truth: What a wonderful piece of news! We don't care even if he joins Umno, let alone be a member of an independent group because at the next general election, the whole bunch are going to be kicked out and demolished by the rakyat. Well done, PKR disciplinary committee.

Wira: Good move. The sacking is in line with what PKR and Pakatan Rakyat stand for. The party and Pakatan cannot be ruined or held to ransom by that ungrateful maverick. It is time to be firm.

A Disgusted Malaysian: Actually it's astonishing that PKR had to labour so long to make the decision. It exposes a weakness in PKR. In fact, the opposition now needs to sit down and clean out all remaining scum and learn its lesson for having rubbish to begin with.

Victor Johan: Even if the supreme council had not requested Zulkifli to vacate his parliamentary seat, Zulkifli should do it in the name of his religion.

This is because he was voted by the constituents who are less ‘Islamic' than him, and the other voters who are 'kafirs' and with whom he should be associated with. These people could smudge his 'Islamic' beliefs. After all, he claims to be Muslim first, then a Malay, and after that a politician.

May Allah put him back on the correct path to pursue his journey in this world.

Sarawakian: PKR must not waver when it comes to those who stab the party in the back. This should have been done a long time ago. The party will be stronger with him gone. Let him join BN chief Najib Abdul Razak's ship of pirates.

Not confused: This process of cleaning out those who do not really follow the convictions of the opposition is necessary to ensure the cohesion of the coalition in preparation for the battle ahead.

It may be somewhat painful now, and no doubt BN and all its hangers-on will try to make political capital from these events, but their day of reckoning is looming large on the horizon.

Eugene: This is good news for PKR. It must show that it is uncompromising when dealing with extremist members, unlike Umno in the way it dealt with the racist Ahmad Ismail, who was only suspended.

Timothy Tong: This is long overdue. Much harm is already done. But better late then never.

Lonestar: Goodbye Zulkifli Noordin. Here's wishing you all the best wherever you may be. Please do not ask others to ‘play-play' with religion. You should be the first to stop. In case you've forgotten, Malaysia is a multiracial, multireligious, multicultural nation.
