On the eve of MCA's central committee elections, certain quarters in MCA seem to be trying every trick in the book to prevent rival CC candidates from meeting potential supporters.

NONE According to a Bernama report today, MCA deputy presidential candidate Liow Tiong Lai ( left ) said a dinner organised by him and party presidential candidate Ong Ka Ting tonight would be held at Wisma MCA and not at the Berjaya Times Square.

Liow's press secretary, Lim Chau Leng has advised central delegates to be wary of a fake invitation to a dinner on the 14th floor of the Berjaya Times Square tonight.

Lim said central delegates yesterday received a fake a short messaging service (SMS) invitation to a dinner at the Berjaya Times Square purportedly from Ong and Liow.

"Both of them ask central delegates not to be misled by the SMS," Lim said in a statement today.

A total of 2,378 central delegates will cast their votes for the 31 posts at stake tomorrow, key of which is the three-cornered fight for the president's seat.

Incumbent president Ong Tee Keat is defending the seat against former president Ka Ting and former deputy president Dr Chua Soi Lek.
