In a bid to make a difference, a non-partisan group is organising the ‘Voice Your Choice’ campaign, aimed primarily to register two million voters by year end.
The Extraordinary People Impacting Community's (Epic) main objective is to create awareness among youth that the future of the country is in their hands.
The soft launch of the campaign will kick start simultaneously at e@Curve, Amcorp Mall and Subang Parade tomorrow and Sunday.
“This is an initiative created to show the people that the youngsters are not apathetic when it comes to registering as voters,” said Epic coordinator Jasmine Ng.
Ng said that Epic is working closely together with Saya Anak Bangsa Malaysia (SABM) and Jom Bangkit.
It is also involved in the ‘20 year action plan for Malaysia’, a programme under KL Chinese Assembly.
Epic has been calling for volunteers nationwide to assist in the voters’ registration exercise which Ng said has drawn a strong response.
Jom Bangkit coordinator Lai Chee Seng said: "Since our objectives are similar with Epic, we would be collaborating and helping them out during the voter’s registration campaign."
He added Jom Bangkit is also organising a song campaign called "Bangkit’, to encourage youth to voice their opinions on social issues.
