Pressure group Perkasa lodged a police report against DAP chairperson Karpal Singh today over his statement which it claimed questioned the rights and privileges of the Malays.

Kuala Lumpur Perkasa chief Arman Azha Abu Hanifah lodged the report at the Sentul district police headquarters here.

He told reporters later that the Bukit Gelugor MP's statement, as reported in a Malay newspapers two days ago, could cause chaos and should be investigated under the Sedition Act.

The Peninsular Malay Students Federation (GPMS) also lodged a similar report  yesterday.

Meanwhile, Karpal Singh told reporters at the Parliament lobby that he did not question the rights and privileges of the Malays and bumiputeras at a news conference held in Penang on Sunday as claimed.
