Backbencher Tajuddin Abdul Rahman (BN-Pasir Salak) has finally decided not to ask Dewan Rakyat speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia to review its censure of him for allegedly making threatening remarks against M Kulasegaran (DAP-Ipoh Barat).

On second thought and after seeking advice from friends, Tajuddin said he decided to adhere to the decision of the chair as well as to protect the speaker's reputation.

"However, this does not mean that it is an admission of guilt. Once again, let me reiterate that... out of respect for the speaker and the House, I will not prolong the matter.

"I will no longer question the decision," said Tajuddin when debating the Supplementary Supply Bill (2010) 2010 at the Dewan Rakyat today.

On Tuesday, the speaker cautioned and reprimanded Tajuddin for allegedly harassing Kulasegaran, who had last week complained that the backbencher threatened him.

However, Tajuddin later defiantly told reporters that he did not accept the censure and the following day urged Pandikar Amin to review the decision.

When Tajuddin said his action was prompted by Kulasegaran's allegations against him and Umno, Kulasegaran interjected by saying that Tajuddin could file a civil suit or a police report against him.

Pandikar Amin intervened by saying that the matter was settled with the decision made by Tajuddin.

The speaker reminded members of the House not to abuse the rules of the proceedings and to be consistent in the debate.
