Kelantan Umno has denounced PAS' action in spending more than RM4 million over three years to degrade and tarnish the credibility of former prime minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's administration allegedly through a blog site.
Citing it as a despicable act, state Umno liaison committee chairman Mustapa Mohamed urged Kelantan PAS to reveal the source of the fund as the people had the right to know.
“PAS should reveal from where the money was obtained, whether it was from timber revenue or individual contributors," he told reporters here today.
He was commenting on Utusan Malaysia that "kickdefella" blog site writer Syed Azidi Syed Abdul Aziz ( left ) received more than RM4 million over three years to create a negative perception of Abdullah to enable PAS to remain in power in Kelantan.
Mustapa, who is also international trade and industry minister, said he regretted that PAS was willing to spent the money to spread lies about BN instead of developing the state.
He urged the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Malaysia (MACC) to investigate the allegation posted on the kickdefella blog site and published by Utusan Malaysia .
