News Straits Times headlined Inspector General of Police, Musa Hassan stressing that the police force would continue to do their best to ensure public safety, adding that critics forget that the police had solved many cases.

The Star front paged the statement by Azamuddin Omar, a friend of Aminulrasyid Amzah who was shot dead last week. Azamuddin, who was in the car, denied that the late Aminulrasyid attempted to ram down the police.

Malay newspapers

Utusan Malaysia headlined Foreign Affairs Ministry clarifying that Brunei has sovereign rights over two oil blocks - L & M, under the United Nations Convention on the Laws of the Seas.

Berita Harian also front paged Azamuddin's account as well as Musa Hassan telling the public not to blame the police for Aminulrasyid's death.

Sinar Harian led with Perak Public Accounts Committee chair Raja Ahmad Zainuddin Raja Omar querying an alleged misuse of funds amounting to RM1 million.

Tamil newspapers

Tamil Nesan led with the family of the late Aminulrasyid asking for a royal commission to be set to investigate the shooting.

Malaysia Nanban reported that the Escott Tamil school in Hulu Selangor, which is bad shape, has finally received assistance after 50 years.

Makkal Osai speculated a possible face off between MIC president S Samy Vellu and his deputy president, G Palanivel who was recently named as a senator. This was done without Samy's knowledge.
