His son Ikhwan in a SMS text to Bernama today, said Zaharuddin was responding to treatment and his condition was improving.
The Pahang state assemblyman, 63, had an operation for ulcer at Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital in Temerloh, but was admitted to IJN on May 9 after doctors detected a heart complication.
He was later discharged but readmitted to IJN on May 22 when his condition became critical.
