The Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (Mampu) has set the target of achieving a five-star

rating for all ministries in the 2010-2011 evaluation period.

Newly-appointed Mampu director-general Mohamad Zabidi Zainal said so far only the Works Ministry achieved the top rating during the 2008-2009 evaluation period.

Mohamad Zabidi admitted that it would be a tall order for Mampu but said that the agency would continue assisting the ministries concerned which are now rated either three or four stars.

"Mampu will also focus on programmes such as outreach programme, business process reengineering and green technology programme," he told reporters in Putrajaya at the handing over of duties between him and his predecessor Normah Md Yusof whose service ended on Monday.
