Pasir Mas Member of Parliament Ibrahim Ali today filed a RM2 million defamation suit against PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution.

NONE The papers were filed through the law firm of Tetuan Rajindar Singh at the High Court registry here.

In his statement of claim, Ibrahim ( right ), who is also president of right-wing pressure group Perkasa, alleged that Saifuddin had defamed him by spreading false news in PKR's newsletter Suara Keadilan (April 27 - May 4 edition) that he was involved in tycoon Vincent Tan's gaming business and also had equity interest in it.

Besides seeking damages totalling RM2 million, Ibrahim also wants an injunction to stop Saifuddin, who is also the Member of Parliament for Machang, or his agents from further spreading such remarks about him.

Speaking to reporters after the papers were filed, Ibrahim said he would be filing a similar suit againts Suara Keadilan .
