The Kuala Lumpur High Court today awarded RM3.3 million in general and exemplary damages to a businessman for wrongful detention under the Internal Security Act in 1994 for alleged involvement in issuing fake permits and passports to foreign workers.
Justice Mohd Hishamudin Mohd Yunus said the court agreed with Badrul Zaman PS Mohamed that his detention was unlawful and unconstitutional.
