The Kelantan oil royalty issue will come before a judge on Aug 30.
Kelantan state executive councillor and State Oil Royalty Action Committee chairperson Husam Musa said the demand would be taken to the court after several negotiations held on the matter were in vain.
He was speaking at a demonstration over the oil royalty demand after the opening of PAS 56th muktamar.
About 300 people attended the protest organised by Kelantan PAS Youth.
The PAS-led state government insisted that the federal government pay oil royalty instead of a compassionate fund of RM20 million for two oil wells located some 150 nautical miles off Kelantan.
The federal government said Kelantan was not entitled to the royalty as the two wells were located more than three nautical miles from its shore.
