Musical show to mark PM's first anniversary
The musical with the 1Malaysia concept which began yesterday until June 27 was held to mark Najib Abdul Razak's anniversary as prime minister.
Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak tonight watched the musical theatre Kita at Istana Budaya.
Also present at the one hour show were Information Communication and Culture Minister Rais Yatim and wife Masnah Rais and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Koh Tsu Koon.
The musical with the 1Malaysia concept which began yesterday until June 27 was held to mark Najib's anniversary as prime minister.
Kita tells the story of love, unity and multi-culturalism portrayed via Rahman, Cheong dan Amish.
It was set in a rubber estate in the 1970s in Teluk Intan, Perak.
Kita had been listed in the Malaysian Book of Records as a musical theatre with a cast comprising the most number of races.
It is jointly organised by Xi Yue Art and Culture with cooperation of the Prime Minister's Department and the Information Communication and Culture Ministry.
Directed by Ho Lin Huay, the cast include Jalaluddin Hassan, Hafiz AF7, Nas Adila, Eric Lin and Michael Rao.
Najib also received a certificate from a Malaysia Book of Records representative on behalf of the Information Communication and Culture Ministry as recognition for the show.
