Sibuti MP Ahmad Lai Bujang, who was rushed to the hospital yesterday after he became unwell during a durian and mutton promotion, is getting better, deputy Dewan Rakyat Speaker Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said.

He said that Ahmad Lai, 61, would only need to take a few days' rest to stabilise his blood pressure.

"I visited him at 10am today and he is fine. There's nothing to worry about," he told reporters when met at parliament lobby.

Ahmad Lai was rushed to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital at 2.15pm yesterday after complaining of breathing difficulties at the event organised by the Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Ministry.
