K'tan sultan flies to S'pore for treatment
The Sultan of Kelantan, Tuanku Ismail Petra Sultan Yahya Petra, arrived in Singapore today to undergo follow-up treatment at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital.

The ruler, who was accompanied by the Raja Perempuan of Kelantan, Tengku Anis Tengku Hamid, did not go straight to the hospital but checked into a leading hotel here.
The special government aircraft carrying the sultan touched down at the Changi International Airport at 12.30pm and the ruler was greeted by senior officials of the Malaysian High Commission in Singapore.
Sultan Ismail had undergone treatment at the hospital for almost a year from May 24 last year for a heart ailment and had returned to Kota Bharu on March 4 this year.
Last Friday, the comptroller of the Kelantan Royal Household Abdul Halim Ahmad announced that the sultan would be taken to the Mount Elizabeth Hospital for follow-up treatment.
Earlier, in Kota Bharu, Kelantan Menteri Besar Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, state secretary Aiseri Alias, state executive councillors and senior state government officers were at the Sultan Ismail Petra airport in Pengkalan Chepa to see off the sultan.
The aircraft, carrying the sultan, Tengku Anis and the Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra, took off at 11.15pm.
