Police have denied newspaper reports today that it failed to 'ransack' PKR headquarters in Petaling Jaya in a 'botched raid' yesterday.

Negeri Sembilan deputy police chief Abd Manan Mohd Hassan said the visit was part of investigation on PKR supreme council member Badrul Hisham Shaharin under Section 4 of Sedition Act.

NONE "We went to PKR headquarters in Petaling Jaya to get Badrul Hisham's laptop as he told police that he wrote the article over there."

Manan said police had received a court order to obtain proof for the case.

However, on arrival at PKR headquarters , investigating officer ASP Affendy Sulaiman received a SMS message from Badrul Hisham that the laptop was with him.

"We stopped the search and returned to Seremban police headquarters (IPD) as Badrul Hisham promised to hand over the laptop."

Badrul Hisham delivered the laptop to Affendy at 5.45pm yesterday at Seremban IPD.

"Police went there to investigate the case and not to ransack as reported by newspapers.

"We need to study his laptop to find proof or other seditious elements."

Manan said the investigation will continue.

Badrul Hisham, or Chegubard, was detained at Negeri Sembilan PKR office in Jalan Rahang on July 9 for his article 'Warkah terbuka kepada DYMM Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong: hepi besday, sir!' on June 10.
