PKR has continued with the publication of its party organ with the masthead Obor Keadilan , which was released on Monday.

NONE This comes despite the annual publication permit for its regular publication Suara Keadilan expiring on July 7, its editor Dzulkarnain Taib said.

The party took advantage of a provision in the Printing Presses and Publications Act (PPPA), which allows one-off non-serialised publications to be printed without a permit, implying that the publication must have a unique name each time.

"This is the second edition of our non-serialised publication and we will continue with it for as long as it takes," Dzulkarnain told Malaysiakini in a telephone interview.

He said the highlight in the current edition was an expose on how Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak was "sucking Petronas dry".

Suara Keadilan

, the mouthpiece of PKR, took the spotlight recently when the Home Ministry lodged police report against it on July 12 for publishing a "secret document" and publishing without a permit.

On Sunday, Dzulkarnain was questioned by the police at the Putrajaya district headquarters over the allegations.

Earlier this month, the Home Ministry had voiced dissatisfaction with the publication's reply to a show-cause letter and requested a further explanation.
