Thousands of KTM Komuter passengers experienced delays when the Rawang-Seremban line was disrupted by a broken overhead power cable at the Rawang station.

In a statement today, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) said a crane lifting construction material had collapsed on the railway tracks during lift construction works at 1.55am.

The incident caused several routes to be delayed while the Rawang-Tanjong services had been cancelled until further notice.

However, KTM intercity services are operating as usual.

KTMB apologised for any inconvenience caused by the incident and would continue to update commuters on the status of their services, the statement added.

The affected Komuter services are as follows:

*The Seremban-Rawang service will end at the Kuang station before continuing to the Rawang station by shuttle train;

*The Rawang-Seremban service will use the train shuttle to the Kuang station before proceeding to the Seremban station by Komuter;

*Other routes will operate as usual but may experience delay of at least 30 minutes, especially for trains from Rawang.
