Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Said today challenged the opposition to report any discrepancies within the state government's administration to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.

He said he was not worried about the opposition's suspicions on misuse of power in the state government's expenditure as they had supporting documents.

The Terengganu assembly sitting last week approved an additional RM158 million budget allocation, bringing the total to exceed RM2 billion, which is the highest among the states in the country.

The extra funds would be used for the 2010 State Development Plan to benefit the people through various welfare programmes, including building affordable homes and providing e-Books to students in the state, Ahmad said during a meeting with Dungun schoolteachers at the Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Paka.

 

He added that the money would also be channeled towards completing 18 housing projects for the people.
