Perak BN chairperson Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir today called on BN component parties in the state to heed the advice of Prime Minister Najib Razak to resolve all problems in the BN spirit of consensus.

That is the best approach to ensure continued racial harmony in the state, he told reporters after presenting the 2009 Perak sports awards and incentives to the state contingent for its performance at the 2010 Malaysia Games (Sukma).

Zambry, who is Perak menteri besar, said sensitive issues should not be debated openly so as to undermine racial harmony.

He was asked to comment on the statement by Najib yesterday that BN component parties should resolve their problems in the coalition's spirit of consensus as the BN was highly experienced in managing all problems in the common interest.

At the event, incentives were given to the 135 athletes who won medals at Sukma 2010.
