Retract and apologise for 'war' report, Utusan told

Geronimo: It was claimed that a war that would dwarf the May 13, 1969 riots "is imminent if the government does nothing to curb racial tension caused by those who continue to stoke racial fires".

Read between the lines again, especially the part where it says "if the government does nothing to curb racial tensions". It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out the motives of Utusan Malaysia , and that is to prompt Umno to invoke the ISA on the opposition.

So what sort of Merdeka Day are we expecting? Your guess is as good as mine.

Myrights: People don't trust the government anymore because they blatantly let Utusan /BN-owned media to get away with lies, slander and sedition, while all other non-BN-owned media are persecuted at the slightest drop of the hat.

Thanks to the Internet, the common people can tell that these lies and slanders are propagated by Umno/BN to cause racial tensions so that they can stay relevant. Now, the reverse effect is happening.

The more they lie, slander and incite racial unrest, the more people will reject them. They may still have their hooks on the older generations, but the younger voters will reject them. Perkasa and Utusan will speed up their demise.

Passing Cloud: Let's see whether action will be taken by the Home Ministry and the police against troublemakers Utusan and Perak mufti Harussani Zakaria for inciting unrest. If no action is taken against them, aren't they acting on behalf of their political masters, the specimens perceiving themselves above the laws?

Mohd Hazwan: The Perak mufti and Utusan should be ashamed of themselves, churning out lies and ill-feelings between the different races during this holy month of Ramadan. I have every hope that our beloved PM Najib Razak would put a stop to this madness. Let’s live in peace. Wassalam.

David Dass: There are people bent on stirring up trouble. These people will stop at nothing to create conflict between the races.

The Malays are not under threat. No new constitution can replace the old without the Malays and the rulers agreeing. There is no challenge to the position of the rulers, the national language, Article 153, the position of Islam. These are the elements of the social contract.

This is really about some hot heads who want trouble. These are people who thrive in a crisis. They create the crisis and become champions in that strange bizarre and perverse logic.

Patriot: The alarming racial slant so evident nowadays is a deliberate diversion created by Utusan and other Umno-led media and political NGOs like Perkasa to distract the country from more important issues of corruption, weak governance, promoting growth and reducing socio-economic inequity and injustice.

Harping on and stirring up racial sentiments is totally unproductive. It will also result in disaster not only for the country, but also for those selfish and misguided political, religious and economic elites who hope to gain most from stirring up racial ill-will.

All responsible Malaysians and patriots must be on guard and be united against these malignant forces.

Henry Hock: Sooner or later, these hazardous Utusan reports may get the better of some ill-informed and not-the-utmost intelligent individuals' emotions.

These reckless persons who belong to a very minority breed will most probably be the only scapegoats to be arrested for burning down non-Malay's places of worship or properties, in the thin disguise for a charge of public nuisance.

Fortunately, the majority of the Malays in the present generation are wise not to be deceived by some media propaganda.

Alan Goh: Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein, please withdraw the printing permit to Utusan . You have done it to PAS, DAP and now PKR. Of the four news media, Utusan is the most racist and should have been banned from the streets many moons ago.

AkuMelayu: This braggart Lim Guan Eng will never admit to anything. He will deny everything even when it was proven and he is caught red-handed. He never wants to admit that he had said that he was not given a seat by Nik Ali Mat Yunos during the launching of the Penang Hil Railway project. Everyone else is wrong, while he is perfect.

Jaguh: Pakatan, don’t pussyfoot anymore. Stand firm and demand fair treatment. Only Umno, nobody else, stokes racial sentiments - not even their component parties. Those groups should also speak up. No guts, I guess.

Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has proven to be biased, though that does not come as a surprise. The racists get bolder each day, and they don’t even get a slap on the wrist. Is this fairness? All right-thinking people, is this the Malaysia you want?

Ruben: Utusan , what racial tensions are you talking about? You are the culprits who create racial tensions. I have many Muslim friends and we get along very well with each other. You will face justice with all you cruel and wicked lies. The justice you will face is Allah's wrath.

You rumour mongers destroy the very essence of what has made this such a beautiful country. You do not care what happens to this country. How cruel can you be?

God, I pray send your wrath on the people in Utusan who continuously stoke racial tensions. I promise you this - I will pray every day for peace, justice and true harmony in this beautiful country of ours, but I will also pray that you all face the wrath of God.

Disgusted: Sue Utusan and Umno for all the lies they have written about Lim Guan Eng - that he told mosque imams to delete the king’s name and put his in sermons, and that Pakatan Rakyat was writing a new constitution to replace the old, etc.

Although the courts are dictated by Umno, let it be known that you will not tolerate any further lies and slander which may give rise to racial tensions and even bloodbath in this country leading to destruction of the country just to keep Umno in power.

The devil has possessed these people and they will destroy this nation without any qualms.

Wanderer: Even as an Umno mouthpiece, Utusan has stooped so low to serve their political masters. What solution is there, when these deranged racist journalists continuously serve low-grade news and lies. These fanatics of no conscience will most certainly lead Malaysia to peril.

Umno’s first and last weapon to stay in power is playing the racial card and peddling filthy lies in order to perpetuate the ‘ketuanan’ of dishonesty.
