Four offices, including that of a judge and a magistrate, at the Seremban Court Complex were broken into over the weekend.

Negeri Sembilan CID chief ACP Mohd Zaki Masroh said the break in was discovered by the court staff at about 7am today when they arrived for work.

He said following a report lodged, police inspected the scene and initial investigations revealed that at least five offices on the top floor of a building block were broken into.

"Papers, including those that were torn, were strewn all over the place in the offices that were broken into and police were investigating if there were any items or court files missing," he added.

He said police ruled out robbery in the case because items, like lap tops, were not taken, but that several finger prints were found at the scene.

Police investigations to identify the suspects were hampered as the location where the incident took place was not installed with a closed-circuit television camera, he added.

However, Mohd Zaki said police would record statements, including from security guards at the complex, to assist investigations.

He urged those with information on the incident to contact the nearest police station.
