Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said the amount would be paid out before Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all state government employees except those of Jusa Grade and above.
A total of 9,089 state civil servants are expected to enjoy the bonus which will cost the Selangor government RM4.5 million, said Khalid (

Apart from this, the state government has allocated a special payment of RM250 to each of the 5,297 religious affairs and Fadhu Ain (Kafa) teachers in Selangor. The allocation amounts to a total of RM1.3 million.
Khalid said he he would the financial assistance would help lessen the burden of the state government employees ahead of the coming festive season particularly those who had large families.
He advised the state government employees as well as the Kafa teachers to practice moderation in all matters and to spend wisely according to both need and affordability.
In a related development, more than 4,500 employees of the Malacca government will also receive the Hari Raya Aidifitri special payment of RM500 each.
According to Bernama , Chief Minister Mohd Ali Rustam said the state government would follow the federal government to give Hari Raya aid to its staff.
"The payment involves an allocation of RM2,278,500 and it will be paid before Hari Raya this year," he told reporters after breaking fast with residents at Surau Taman Bahagia in Malacca yesterday.
He hoped that the payment would ease the burden of state government employees in making preparations for the Aidilfitri celebration.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, in a statement, said that the special payment would be for government pensioners and civil servants in Grade 1 to 54.
It would involve a total payment RM934.6 million, that is RM639.6 million for civil servants and RM295 million for the pensioners.
