LDP urged to clarify stand on CM Musa
Kalabakan Umno chief Abdul Ghapur Salleh has demanded that Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) president VK Liew clarify the statement made by his deputy Chin Su Phin that the party could no longer work with Chief Minister Musa Aman.
Kalabakan Umno chief Abdul Ghapur Salleh has demanded that Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) president VK Liew clarify the statement made by his deputy Chin Su Phin that the party could no longer work with Chief Minister Musa Aman.
Ghapur said this was necessary to determine whether Chin's statement was a personal opinion or the party's stand.
"It was not appropriate for him (Chin) to make statements which could create confusion within the BN.
"The LDP should support state leaders, not condemn them without reason," he said in a statement.
Chin was reported to have said that the party could no longer work with Musa but would remain loyal to the BN and would continue cooperating with Umno.
Following Chin's statement, Sabah Umno liaison deputy chief Salleh Said alleged that the LDP was colluding with certain quarters to topple Musa.
