Teng loses, newcomer Nga set to take over as Dapsy chief
DAP Socialist Youth leader Teng Chang Khim today failed to get elected into the movement's national executive council. This means he has been ruled out for election to the youth wing's top post.
When the results of the election for the Dapsy executive council were announced this evening, Teng only managed to garner 56 votes from a total of 121 delegates. Thirty five vied for the 20 council seats up for grabs. Teng did not make it into the first 20.
"I have to accept the results. I expect changes in Dapsy but I did not expect to lose in this manner", Teng told reporters soon after the votes were counted.
