Former Klang municipal councillor Tee Boon Hock claims that political pressure by two state cabinet members on Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim caused his sacking.

In a statement today, Tee said that he was dissatisfied with the state audit department's probe into a series of support letters issued for several companies, that was used to justify his dismissal.

NONE Tee ( right ) reiterated that he was never given a chance to defend himself nor was he called by the auditors for questioning.

"There is a lack of accountability (on the part of the auditors), in tackling this issue without a detailed investigation before coming up with a conclusion."

Tee says as a result Khalid had "made a rash decision upon being urged by exco members Ronnie Liu and Ean Yong Hian Wah".

He argued that Khalid had on Aug 5 asked him to go on leave for five weeks pending investigations, but announced his dismissal just six days later.

Tee still waiting for report

Tee points out that Khalid's decision was announced right after the state exco meeting on Aug 11, effective from Aug 6.

Tee was earlier sacked from the DAP, and subsequently the Klang Municipal Council, for issuing a support letter to a company bidding for state contracts, that was linked to his son.

Quizzed on his next move, Tee said that he will wait for a copy of the audit report before deciding.

NONE "The menteri besar had promised that the report would be made public. I need a copy before taking action," said Tee, when contacted.

Meanwhile, Tee has questioned the DAP disciplinary committee for allegedly failing to take action against a complaint lodged by VA Ramu in 2008 against Kajang municipal councillor Lee Kee Hiong ( left ).

"Why then did they need so little time to decide on my case? Why was the action taken against me so harsh? Is it because I'm the victim of a political conspiracy?" he asked angrily.

Committee: No complaint from Ramu

Star yesterday reported that Ramu had filed a complaint to Selangor DAP secretary Lau Weng San against Lee and had lamented that no action has been taken.

Disciplinary committee chairperson Tan Kok Wai however denied when contacted, that any such report had been filed.

Tan advises Ramu to come forward with evidence to back his claims.

"We take all complaints seriously. If Mr Ramu is concerned about misconduct or misbehaviour, the committee would welcome him to submit all relevant evidence," said Tan.
