The police stopped two press video cameramen and a reporter as they tried to enter a poultry farm in Ladang Gadong, Tanjong Sepat, near here where a cosmetics millionaire and three other people had been killed.
Xinhua news agency cameraman Lim Ling Fong, ntv7 stringer cameraman Mohd Shahif Ibrahim and Malaysian Insider news portal reporter Yow Hong Chieh were picked up by the police at 4.15pm when they had gone up to 200 metres beyond the police cordon.
The three journalists were brought out in a police patrol car and released at about 5.40pm.
Mohd Shahif said the police checked their identity cards and warned them not to trespass into the cordoned area.
The location in Ladang Gadong is where, police said, Nouvelle Visages cosmetics line founder Sosilawati Lawiya, 47, CIMB Bank officer Noorhisham Mohammad, 38, Sosilawati's driver Kamaruddin Shamsudin, 44, and lawyer Ahmad Kamil Abdul Karim, 32, were bashed to death, their bodies burnt and the ashes strewn into a nearby river. All four of them had gone missing on Aug 30.
Police have picked up eight suspects, among them two lawyers.
