Police's forensic team vehicles continue to be seen moving in and out of Ladang Gadong in Banting where cosmetics millionaire Sosilawati Lawiya and three others were brutally murdered.

Bernama's monitoring of the area today found the vehicles entering the area around 8.30am and leaving a couple of hours later.

Sosilawati Lawiya police search afp 2 A multi-purpose patrol police vehicle was also stationed about 600 metres away from the main entrance to the location, which is an oil palm plantation owned by the prime suspect in the case.

Each vehicle passing through the road was stopped by the police before being instructed to turn back and leave the plantation area.

Some members of the media continued to stake out the place from a nearby temple to monitor the developments of the ongoing investigation into the murders.

The four, who were reported missing since Aug 30, were murdered and burnt at the plantation before their ashes were disposed off at nearby rivers.

Meanwhile, the canteen operator of a nearby school, who only wanted to be known as ‘Uncle’, said he still found it hard to believe that the murders had occurred in the plantation.

"At first, when I saw a huge crowd milling around the area, I thought they were filming a movie. I only realised that murders had taken place there when I read the newspaper and watched the news on television," he added.
