The blogger who said the Penang government used gambling money to pay its senior citizens has accused DAP leaders of being "chauvinistic and racist' for not understanding his articles written in the Malay language.

The blogger, who does not want to be named, writes under pisau.net. He is willing to pay tuition fees for Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and his political secretary Ng Wei Aik, so they can comprehend the national language.

Calling himself "the editor", the blogger asked why Lim and Ng "twisted their words and lied" when all he wanted were his questions that the state could have used money derived from gambling to award senior citizens over 60 with RM100 each and families of the deceased with RM1,000 were false.

"Why feel afraid if (they) had not done any wrong?" queried the blogger in his blog post titled Wang Ehsan, Pusing Sana, Pusing Sini (Donations, twisting here and there).

"Readers of this blog must understand the modus operandi of this lousy ( haprak ) state government; that it will speedily lodge a report to show it is not wrong," he said.

"This old tactic is obsolete ( dah basi ); lodging a report does not mean you are not wrong," he said.

The blog post came after Malaysiakini contacted him via e-mail about yesterday's report lodged against him with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission's northern branch office in Butterworth.

"I will respond in my blog," he replied curtly, when asked for his comment.

Ng (right) , who is Komtar NONE assemblyperson, submitted the complaint to MCMC officer Mohd Rashdi Hasan over two blog articles - Gempar! Wang Ehsan 100, Warga Mas Makan Duit Judi? and Kerajaan Negeri Tak Jawap, Boleh Percayakah Guan Eng? - which were posted on Sept 17 and 19 respectively.

Ng, who is state DAP Socialist Youth secretary, said the allegations in the two articles were baseless and appeared to be another slanderous attempt against the state government.

The state, he added, lodged the complaint so that the allegations by the blogger could be investigated and the appropriate action taken.

However, the blogger denied that he had stated in any blog post that the money came from sports gambling as alleged.

He said he acknowledged that it was impossible for the state to receive money from sports betting as the game was illegal in Penang.

"Read what I (stated) in bold, barangkali (probability) and kemungkinan (possibility)," he added, implying that he was merely asking questions, not stating any fact.

"Probably they succeeded in getting financial aid. After satisfactorily lobbying and meeting with several big tycoons, they succeeded in getting some funds, which may come from gambling," he posted in his blog.

"Perhaps the contributions came from a secret society or gambling tycoon; DAP is often linked to the underworld, like (Pandamaran assemblyperson) Ronnie Liu, who is the caretaker of a secret society in Selangor," he wrote.
