The juvenile court today fixed Oct 19 for mention of the Taman Pulai Impian, Sikamat surau desecration case involving three youths.
The juvenile court today fixed Oct 19 for mention of the Taman Pulai Impian, Sikamat surau desecration case involving three youths.
Magistrate M Mageshwary said this was for the Welfare Services Department to complete probation reports on the youths aged 17, 15, and 16 years respectively.
The trio had pleaded guilty to two counts of committing mischief by splashing paint on the exterior walls of a surau and throwing bottles into the compound.
Under the first charge, they were accused of throwing bottles into the compound of the surau between 3am-4am on Aug 23.
For the second charge, the second and third accused had splashed red paint at the exterior walls of the building.
The first accused was also charged with abetting his two friends to splash red paint at the surau.
If convicted, the trio can be jailed up to two years and fined or both.
The trio were represented by counsel Lee Kong Fei while deputy public prosecutor Mahmud Abdullah prosecuted.
