Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim today said that he would only decide whether to run for deputy president of PKR after Oct 3, that is after all the party's divisions had convened their meetings.

"Right now, I just don't know yet. I need at least two nominations. I'll announce it later," he told a press conference after chairing the state executive council weekly meeting in Shah Alam today.

Abdul Khalid was replying to a question whether he was interested to contest for the number two post in the party poll in November.

As of today, Abdul Khalid has received one nomination from the Masjid Tanah division in Melaka.

So far, vice-president Azmin Ali has received 43 nominations to contest the post of deputy president, followed by Federal Territory chief Datuk Zaid Ibrahim (21), vice president Mustafa Kamil Ayub (10), strategic director Tian Chua (two) and Kuantan member of Parliament Fuziah Salleh (one).

The party has fixed Oct 10 as the deadline for the nominations to be made by each division.
