Anwar Ibrahim's suit against his former aide, Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan for malice in lodging a report that he was sodomised by Anwar, has been set for another mention date pending disposal of his trial on a sodomy charge at the Criminal High Court.
High Court senior assistant registrar Khairul Farhi Yusob set Jan 10 next year for case management after meeting Anwar's counsel Jason Tay in chambers today.
Jason also spoke on behalf of Zamri Idrus, who is Mohd Saiful's counsel.
The Criminal High Court has set Oct 14 and also on November and December to continue Anwar's sodomy trial.
Anwar (

In his statement of claim, he said Mohd Saiful knew that the sodomy charge was false but went ahead and lodged the police report on June 28, 2008.
He claimed that as a result of the police report, his reputation had been tarnished and he had undergone great suffering and embarrassment.
Mohd Saiful, in his statement of defence filed in May 2009, said the police report was justified and that if it was not true, the prosecution would not have charged Anwar with sodomy.
