Malaysia joins global anti-war protest
Kuala Lumpur will join more than 60 cities around the world on Feb 15 in a global protest against a possible United State's military aggression against Iraq.
The peaceful demonstration will be held at 11am at the United States Embassy in Jalan Tun Razak, said
pro tem
political party Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) in a statement today.
"Individuals and organisations are urged to come with banners and placard, bearing anti-war signs and messages that "do not contain violent, racist and fascist viewpoints".
"We call upon all Malaysians who cherish peace and human lives, to come out and attend this peaceful demonstration to protest potential war against Iraq," said the party.
PSM added that protesters can also sign an international anti-war petition that will be made available outside the embassy.
