Four of the eight Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) divisions in Terengganu which were not able to conduct their meetings on Sept 25 are now awaiting approval from the Registrar of Societies (ROS).
State PKR chairman Abdul Rahman Yusof said the four divisions were unable to hold their meetings after their registrations were revoked following their failure to submit their meeting reports and financial statements to ROS for the past two years.
"We will wait for approval from the registrar to allow us to hold the meetings soon," he said in Kuala Terengganu today.
Abdul Rahman said three divisions which held their meetings simultaneously last Saturday were the Kemaman, Hulu Terengganu and Setiu divisions.
However, he said, the Kuala Nerus division was forced to postpone its meeting to a later date as some delegates doubted the decision of the central selection committee on the revocation of a division chief's candidacy.
He said the divisions which held their meetings had nominated Wan Azizah Wan Ismail ( left ) as president and Azmin Ali as deputy president, while four candidates for the vice-president posts are Dr Mansor Othman, Nurul Izzah Anwar, Tian Chua and Baru Bian (Sarawak PKR liaison chairman).
The Setiu division, however, nominated PKR Youth chief Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin for a vice-president post.
Abdul Rahman said Rafizi Ramli was chosen as Kemaman division chief, Narawi Hashim as Hulu Terengganu division chief and Wan Daud Wan Abdul Rahman as Setiu division chief.
