BN Youth, especially Umno Youth, were today reminded not to take the opposition's challenge for the Galas state seat lightly although BN will have the edge in the by-election campaign.

Umno Youth deputy chief Razali Ibrahim said the BN Youth election machinery must be ready to focus on campaigning to ensure victory for the BN candidate, hence wresting back the seat from PAS.

"BN has the edge because the people are seeing many good results from the efforts and leadership of Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak and at the same time, the flaws in the opposition pact's administration in Penang, Kedah and Selangor."

Razali, who is also Youth and Sports Deputy Minister, was speaking to reporters after attending the Raya open house hosted by Muar Umno division chief Mohd Ismail Mohd Shah, here, today.

The Galas seat in Kelantan is now vacant following the death of its incumbent assemblyman Che Hashim Sulaima, 46, from PAS, on Monday due to cancer.

"The question of who will be fielded to represent BN in the by-election does not arise. We will abide by whatever decision made by our top leadership," said

Razali.
