The PAS Supporters Club is ready to carry out its duties should the party's leadership decide to put up a Chinese candidate for the upcoming Galas by-election.

“We are not asking the PAS leadership to choose one of our representatives as a candidate, but we are ready if that is the best move,” he told Bernama when asked to comment on the statement made by PAS spiritual leader, Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat today that the party faced difficulties in selecting a candidate

for the by-election.

The Galas seat is now vacant following the death of Chek Hashim, 46, at the Al-Islam Kampung Baru Hospital in Kuala Lumpur due to cancer two days ago.
