Perak DAP clams up on Kula

Lynn: I've always supported DAP as they represent idealistic politics. If only everyone in the party can be more like Lim Guan Eng or Lim Kit Siang.

However, this Ngeh Koo Ham-Nga Kor Ming combo seems to be the stumbling block for DAP's progress in Perak. For some reason, people always seem to have a problem with them. Is it a personality problem?

Whether these problems are true or not, I personally think they should step down for the good of the party. They're not good for the next general elections.

Darth Vader: M Kulasegaran, DAP has no place for someone like you. You are of the wrong colour. They are just putting up a show to say that Malaysia is for Malaysians. If you are not a Chinese, they are just tolerating you and to show a multicultural face. Once you become a threat, out you go.

Bozuka: Indians in DAP and PKR are needed just to garner support for Pakatan Rakyat. The same goes for Kelab Sokongan PAS. Issues related to Indians are left unattended. Indians are being used just for their votes. I challenge Pakatan to prove otherwise.

Ah Hoe: This issue has nothing to do with being Indian or Chinese - Chinese DAP members also have problems with the Ngeh-Nga cousins.

Useless: The DAP is the same as MCA, always fighting for power. Why do we need change when change brings us back to square one? Might as well just support BN, no?

Suspicious: Umno is extremely 'quiet' nowadays, especially on PKR divisional elections, where we see some chaotic situations, and now with DAP's internal bickering. I don't discount Umno having a hand in all these. Bear in mind, Umno has never been playing gentleman's politics.

Rolls-Royce: Please don't always blame these issues on Umno whenever there's internal strife within DAP or PKR. It might also be due to the party's members and leaders who choose to compromise and betray the struggle of Malaysians and the party.

Lim Guan Eng, I understand you are away. But that should not have prevented you from being informed and in control of what is going on in the party. With modern technology and communication, I don't see much of a problem. You shouldn't have allowed the problem to fester and only come out with the gag order after your return.

All these feudal leaders must be put in their proper place. The party does not belong to them. The party will be strong enough to survive anyone, no matter how much they have contributed.

If they can't toe the party line and work diligently for the cause of Malaysia, they can all go back to Timbuktu. Don't ever allow feudalism and the cult culture to dominate the party, no matter who they are.

Observer: DAP has to tackle and resolve these issues internally. Ngeh, Nga and Kula, please behave for the sake of your party and nation and do not wash your dirty linen in the public. Guan Eng and Kit Siang, please resolve those issues amicably.

The two cousins have to be separated to avoid further misunderstanding. It's better to sacrifice one or two than to lose the whole state. It's important to get to the root cause to avoid future recurrence. My vote is still with you.

My Stand: We voted for the party and for what it stands and its fight, not the individuals. Kulasegaran, Ngeh Koo Ham, Nga Kor Ming, Hee Yit Fong or whoever, are just leaders and players who can be replaced come the next election. But the party and the fight are there for all of us, and for all times.

Fair: The party must be fair and open. It cannot afford to support any leader who has selfish motives. DAP must look at the bigger picture: the coalition of PKR, PAS and DAP. Fight for positions in a fair manner. Do not hit below the belt.

As the PM spoke at the UN General Assembly in New York, moderates must fight against the racists, extremists and bigots. Do not bring in race, religion and cronyism.

Talk about your manifesto and how you are a better candidate than the opponent. And show what you have done for the party. If you have nothing to show as proof, then you do not deserve to be picked by the members. Do the work first; rewards will come later.

Kula challenges Ngeh to an open debate

Grandma: I think both parties must learn to grow up into sound, mature politicians who have sincere, people-orientated vision, not self-gratifying principles. Stop quarrelling. Be humble enough to reconcile your differences. If you cannot manage your own backyard, well how can you ever dream of governing a greater household?

Gunena: Selangor has Ronnie Liu. Perak has Ngeh and Nga. They are the Archilles' heel for DAP.

Argonist: It is so very disheartening to the people who have placed such high hopes on the DAP to defend them against the horrible BN that ruled and is ruling us to see this happening.

No doubt all these DAP/PKR reps are just human and are fallible, but surely good sense and humility should prevail, not arrogance and self agenda. Who else are we - the downtrodden, the victims of corrupted governance, cruel injustice and just plain swindles - going to go to in the future?

Rajm: Ngeh and Nga seem to run the state of Perak with an iron fist, just like German chancellor Bismark. They also ruffled the feathers of the iron lady of Batu Gajah (Fong Po Kuan), The cousins cannot take everything in their own hands. They should be team players.
