MAS cabin attendant arrested for credit card smuggling
TOKYO - Japan's airport custom office has arrested a 31-year old male cabin attendant of Malaysia Airlines for smuggling 3,000 credit cards with no magnetic tapes, an official said today.
The flight attendant, identified as Syed Alfarly bin Syed Khalid, arrived at Japan's Narita international airport on Feb12 on Malaysian Airlines Flight 88 from Kuala Lumpur.
When custom officials searched his suitcase, they found the fake cards and he was arrested on the spot, the custom official said.

Police later arrested a 24-year old Malaysian student living in Japan who was staying at a hotel near the airport to pick up the smuggled cards, he said.
Police identified the student as Tan Choo Kean.
"We suspect the two are part of a wider smuggling network," a police official said. AFP
