Tuan Aziz Tuan Mat, the BN candidate for the Manek Urai by-election, is dismayed with PAS for claiming that BN did not deliver on promises made to voters.

"BN not only delivered all the promises but also did more for the benefit of people in Manek Urai," he told reporters in Gua Musang today.

The BN government promised to build a new bridge costing RM10mil in Kampung Manik Urai Lama, upgrade Masjid Temalir costing RM600,000, repair houses costing RM1.5mil and build a sports court in Kampung Manjor costing RM300,000.

NONE Tuan Aziz said the bridge could not be built yet due to land reclamation and this was used as an issue by PAS.

The bridge (right) would be built although it would now cost RM17mil.

"The other promises have been met. Uprading of Masjid Temalir is near completion as with the sports court in Kampung Manjor which is at the final stage.

Over 500 houses belonging to the poor had been repaired while kampung roads were upgraded soon after Manek Urai by-election.

PAS' Mohd Fauzi Abdullah won Manek Urai by-election in July with a 65 vote majority.

Tuan Aziz urged the 11,000 voters in Galas to support BN as the party always delivers on its promises.

Nomination for Galas state by-election is on Oct 26 with polling on Nov 4.

It was called after the death of PAS' Chek Hashim Sulaima from colon cancer on Sept 27.
