Porn flick was not to sabotage NAM, probe underway: Khalil
The alleged screening of an x-rated programme on television yesterday was not done to sabotage the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit or the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) leaders informal meeting in Kuala Lumpur, said Information Minister Khalil Yaakob today.
According to a Bernama report, he said the ministry would investigate the claim and a police report has also been lodged regarding the matter.
The Malay Mail reported today that a pastor in Kuala Lumpur had chanced upon the screening, which lasted for more than an hour.
Jasoodasan Vathananikam said he had returned home from a prayer meeting at about 12.30am and switched on the television to catch the updates on the NAM summit.
